Reality Sets in

These past 18 months have been filled with laughter, long nights, and memories.  I just can't believe it's almost come to a close; yet I feel that in the next three weeks I have so much to accomplish.  We as a school are fortunate enough to have a professor that is a yoga teacher as well.  So the day before one of the biggest exams of our lives, we took time for about one hour and had a yoga session.
The last time I did yoga was in high school, and I had no idea how refreshing one feels after a session.  The controlled breathing in conjunction with the yoga moves and poses enable the oxygen to flow through your system.  My recommendation though, is to have a mat that is cushioned.  I took a two hour nap after this session; let me tell you, I had no idea you could get sore in the muscles from yoga.

The girls' night out.  Long, day, long night.

Reality set in; we all realized how much time we have left with each other.  We found out during a heart to heart class session, that one of our classmates has never, ever, ever seen the beach before.  So, our professor was kind enough to let us take  bonding class trip to help our colleague experience this sight that we have all taken advantage of our whole lives.  Unfortunately, there was an overcast.  But the good thing is that, we were able to attain wonderful pictures.  If the sun was blazing, there is no way our pictures would have turned out dramatic, with this ambiance.  Plus, if the sun was out, there would be tons of people laying out getting their Vitamin D too!
There's a few missing.  But we've all cried through the struggle of this program.  We've all sacrificed a part of our lives in order to be here together and accomplish this life changing experience.  There are no other 22 people I'd spend the past 18 months with other than these bunches of crazy coconuts.

One thing I've learned to appreciated throughout this 18 months is that there is nothing better than a wonderful meal and a nice comfortable bed after a long day :)

Weekend full of BOOKS...and Eye Patches

 Back to studying....again.  7 students....same class....same goal

no distractions....I needed my own table.

I can't help but want to pull out my hair sometimes while studying....I think we could go mad.

My friend started getting ready for work at Coffee Bean since she could not waste time going home to change.  #dedicatedstudent .... not to mention she came to Coffee Bean coming from her first job too!  Well while she was doing her makeup, I found our pirate patch we used a couple of week ago when we decorated some posters for a community outreach.  So that's what huge purses are for....makeup and to remind us of good memories.

This little lady right here really wants a pair of these shoes .... ahaha they were literally probably 2 sized too big.

Stay cool.

Taking it Back Sunday

Nostalgia is one of my favorite things.  Familiar scents, places. drives, and photos.  Last year before I started  school from a break, my family and I took a great vacation to Lihue, Kauai.  Seriously, this island is one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever been to.  I can't wait until school ends and the vacations start!

I don't recall the name or place of this waterfall, but all I remember is that I slipped and fell in a puddle of mud after crossing a raging river and kayaking down the that river.  The waterfall was definitely worth the hike and slip n' fall.  hahaha.

Stay cool.

Week of Pictures

As a college student, life is a never-ending study fest, that should include bottomless coffee drinks.

Free sample.....bring them on!  The tiny sample looks more scrumptious than my venti from Starbucks.
A change of scenery is always a positive.....Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

\
One of my colleague's consistent patient showed up with daffodils.....seriously?!?!  I had noooo idea how beautiful daffodils were in real life and I'm not much of a flower person either.  These flowers were the most gorgeous kind of flowers I have ever seen. BREATH TAKING.  Words cannot describe the feeling of seeing fresh daffodils; the best part was that they came from a backyard....not store bought.  Someone sure has that "green thumb."

When we have the time, we do lunch and conversations.  How we see each other everyday and still manage to laugh hysterically about who knows what? I have no idea how.

Photos courtesy of my friend Paula; shes the one behind the smoke.
Fajita option anyone?
\
Korean BBQ....I haven't had this in years!  There was a good several years where I refrained from an excess of meat....not really vegetarian, but I just kept a good distance from dark meat.  I didn't refrain from dark meats for any particular reason, other than trying to be health; but school has pushed my limits.  All I'm concerned about at this point is graduating, food, and good company.  After the horrid food truck food, we decided to go out and have some BBQ after a long day in clinic.

Who knew boba came in a bottle?!?  All I wanted was a little desert to finish off the huge meal from Korean BBQ.  Going to have to admit though, the bottle is handy if you want to save it for later.

I am in love with these boots! I have no idea who makes them but I just want a pair.

 Guess which one is me?

I cannot wait to until school ends!  This is an old photo I came across of some friends and me just out and about on the boardwalk of Newport.  These ladies are such sweethearts, you won't believe it.

Good Night Monday

I miss home!

Student Conference

Some of my classmates and I went to the student conference this weekend in the LAX area.

Fun weekend and a great ending with food... too bad I forgot to take pictures of the food! my mouth is watering as I type, it was so delicious. YELP is a great tool; the app helped us find the restaurant called AYARA.  Not bad... slipped into food coma on the ride home.

back to studying.....
